TAAL Handloom Shirt
Growing up, celebrations were never about perfection.
The clothes weren’t new, the stage wasn’t grand, and nobody cared if every step was in sync. What I remember most is the sound of the dhol, people dancing without thinking, and the feeling that, for a few hours, everyone forgot everything else.
That feeling stayed with me.
When we started designing TAAL, I didn’t want to create another printed shirt. I wanted to capture that rhythm. The dancers and drummers aren’t just illustrations. They’re small moments from the celebrations many of us grew up around, preserved on fabric.
This version of TAAL is crafted from natural handloom cotton. You can see the irregular weave, feel its texture, and notice the tiny imperfections that make every fabric unique. We paired it with screen printed artwork finished in a subtle puff, adding just enough depth for the motifs to feel alive without overpowering the shirt.
Like the memories it draws from, nothing here is loud. It’s simple, honest, and made to be worn for years. The handloom cotton softens with every wash, while the artwork quietly carries its story wherever you go.
